The RF modems are based on Micrel™ Trans-receiver chip. They
are ideal for data communication with 9,600 baud rate. They
operate on 300 MHz to 900 MHz range. The range is user
selectable at the time of order. The power output is 10 mW and
with 6 dB external antenna, they can give a straight line
communication distance of 5 km.
These modems have RS 232C
interface for easy connection to any PC. They are packed in
less than visiting card size form factor and uses 9V DC power.
The Power Line Carrier gives the easiest way for connecting
two points. It uses existing power line to send the data. The
PLC communication takes place using 52 KHz or 63 KHz
FSK/Spread Spectrum principal. This is utilised over mains
carrier. The modems are built using ST™ chip set.
These
modems have RS 232C interface for easy connection to any PC.

and uses 12V DC power.
Various instrument and analysers have their proprietary protocols for communication. Many a times it becomes impossible to network them. A protocol converter can convert from any protocol to standard protocol. Most commonly used are from proprietary protocol to MODBUS™ RTU protocol. The digital inputs and timer inputs can be read using the serial port. There are two isolated digital inputs and two isolated timer inputs. One timer input is averaging timer input while other is totalising input. The averaging timer input can be configured using serial port for various averaging options. The totalising timer can be reset using the serial commands. The Digital Input status can be read on serial port as well as digital output status can be configured using serial commands.

in audio or visual format. But they are restricted only on one
particular PC SMS gateway is a product which converts this
alarm into Short Messaging Service (SMS) text and can be sent
on various mobile numbers. The device has a memory which can

date time stamp.

The design is based on Microchip™ PIC 12F508 Microcontroller. There are any legacy meters which are used in electrical system. The common types are Electromechanical Meter or Moving Disk Meters. There are also vast number of Static Energy Meters. These meters do not have any communication capability for Automatic Meter Reading System. When the electrical system needs to be automated, then these meters also need to be added in the network.
The retrofit unit is designed to do just that. It collects the input pulses from the optical sensor by measuring the revolution of the rotating disk, or it measures the optical LED pulses from the electronic meter. The retrofit unit then converts the pulses into the energy units and then transmits them on serial port. The meter constant that is used for this conversion is user programmable. Description : A thermic fluid is heated using mirrors and solar energy. This fluid makes a steam. This steam can be use to generate the power using normal steam generator.
